Discovery for Latin America, Croatian HRT, ORF for Austria, Israel\u2019s HOT, Latvia\u2019s LV1 and to Slovakia. The six-hour drama by Millstreet Films, depicting the life of Argentinian born M\u00e1xima Zorreguieta, who later became Queen M\u00e1xima of the Netherlands, will premiere on RTL Netherland\u2019s OTT service Videoland on 20 April 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>From the moment the beautiful Argentine M\u00e1xima appears at the Dutch Crown Prince&#8217;s side, she finds herself in the spotlight. But when Willem-Alexander asks her to marry him, the past catches up with her. Heated discussions erupt about her father&#8217;s political career in the Argentinian Videla regime \u2013 something she never faced in her own circles. Can Maxima stay true to herself without giving up her family \u2013 or do these things not go together?<\/p>\n<p>M\u00e1xima is portrayed by Argentinian rising star Delfina Chaves (<em>The Secret of the Greco Family<\/em>), Crown Prince Willem-Alexander by Martijn Lakemeier (<em>The East<\/em>). German star actor Sebastian Koch (<em>The Lives of Others, Your Honour<\/em>) takes on the role of Claus von Amsberg, Willem-Alexander&#8217; father, and Elsie de Brauw (<em>The Death of My Mother<\/em>) plays Queen Beatrix.<\/p>\n<p>Directed by Saskia Diesing together with Joosje Duk and Iv\u00e1n L\u00f3pez N\u00fa\u00f1ez, M\u00e1xima was shot over the course of last summer in New York, Spain, the Netherlands, and Belgium. The script is written by Marnie Blok, Ilse Ott, Judith Goudsmit, Diede Zillinger Molenaar, Sytske Kok, and Marcela Guerty.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00e1xima will be available on Videoland starting from April 20 and is produced by Rachel van Bommel of Millstreet Films, in co-production with FBO and Beta Film, with the support of the Dutch Film Fund Production Incentive, the Creative Europe MEDIA program, and the Belgian Tax Shelter.
