These are moments etched into<br \/>\nthe collective memory, historic events that will return in the second season of the<br \/>\nVideoland Original drama series \u2018M\u00e1xima\u2019.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/enqlmNbIoeo?si=FfFDxU8MnhphMfQ9\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The new season follows M\u00e1xima from the preparations for the much-discussed wedding<br \/>\nto the coronation ten years later. As the love between M\u00e1xima and Willem-Alexander<br \/>\nblossoms in their fairytale yet complex love story, pressure also mounts from royal<br \/>\ntraditions, political tensions, and a critical outside world.<\/p>\n<p>The long-awaited second season of the acclaimed drama series M\u00e1xima will be available<br \/>\nto stream on Videoland from March 14th.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside the familiar faces of Delfina Chaves as M\u00e1xima, Martijn Lakemeier as Prince<br \/>\nWillem Alexander, Elsie de Brauw as Queen Beatrix, Sebastian Koch as Prince Claus and<br \/>\nJacob Derwig as Thomas Wagenaar, several new characters are introduced this season.<br \/>\nAmong them are Bram Suijker as Prince Friso, Steef de Bot as Prince Constantijn, Claire<br \/>\nBender as Mabel and Abbey Hoes as Laurentien. The three sisters Julie, Philou and Nina<br \/>\nportray Princesses Amalia, Alexia and Ariane. Jette van der Meij shines as Princess<br \/>\nMargriet and Rifka Lodeizen appears as Noor, M\u00e1xima\u2019s new advisor. In addition, Leny<br \/>\nBreederveld takes on the role of Princess Juliana, and R\u00fcdiger Vogler portrays Prince<br \/>\nBernhard. The trailer also marks the first appearance of Jan-Paul Buijs as Jan Peter<br \/>\nBalkenende.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Synopsis season two <\/strong><br \/>\nFor most princesses, the fairy tale ends with a wedding. For M\u00e1xima, it was only the<br \/>\nbeginning. From her marriage to Willem-Alexander to the coronation ten years later, she<br \/>\nseeks to find balance between love, power and protocol. She soon realizes that keeping<br \/>\nthe love of the Dutch people is far more difficult than winning it. As a passionate<br \/>\nArgentine, she must find her way between her own ambitions and the family dynamics of<br \/>\nthe Royal House. The new season follows M\u00e1xima\u2019s journey from mother, wife, and<br \/>\nfuture queen to a woman who finds her own voice.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The second season of the Videoland Original drama series M\u00e1xima will be available <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>in the Netherlands to stream weekly starting Saturday, March 14, 2026. The series is <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>produced by Rachel van Bommel of Millstreet Films, in co-production with FBO and <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Beta Film, with support from the Netherlands Film Fund Production Incentive, <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Fisa+, Film in Austria (ABA), the Creative Europe MEDIA program and the Belgian Tax <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Shelter. The series is directed by Saskia Diesing and Joosje Duk, and written by <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Rifka Lodeizen and Daan Gielis. The first season of \u2018M\u00e1xima\u2019 has now been sold to <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>more than 70 countries.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Dutch drama on Videoland <\/strong><br \/>\nVideoland is the number one local streaming platform in the Netherlands. The new<br \/>\nseason of \u2018M\u00e1xima\u2019 will be available to stream from March 14th, alongside more than 45<br \/>\nother Videoland Original drama productions, including \u2018Mocro Maffia\u2019, \u2018Sleepers\u2019,<br \/>\n\u2018Tonnano\u2019, \u2018Gooische Vrouwen\u2019, \u2018E\u00e9n Grote Familie\u2019, \u2018De Fckulteit*\u2019, \u2018Moedermaffia!\u2019 and<br \/>\n\u2018Bennie\u2019.
